The BC Road Builders’ RoadShow is making its way to the Williams Lake region next week, bringing with it a unique opportunity to explore careers in highway maintenance and road construction.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to operate a plow truck or heavy equipment, now’s your chance to find out—no experience required! Designed to introduce participants to the real-world skills used on the job, the RoadShow offers an exciting, hands-on look at the industry through state-of-the-art simulators.

Experience a Day in the Life
The RoadShow is part of a province-wide tour designed to raise awareness about the wide range of careers available in the road-building and maintenance sectors. Attendees will get to test drive advanced simulators for commonly used machines, including:
- Snowplow Truck
- Excavator
- Rock Truck
- Wheel Loader
Each simulation runs for approximately 10–15 minutes, giving participants a realistic preview of the responsibilities and skillsets needed in these essential roles. The event is open to anyone aged 16 and up who is interested in exploring career options in British Colombia’s vital infrastructure industry.
