Dawson Road Maintenance crews in Horsefly recently donated a load of crush to the Horsefly Community Hall. The crush was auctioned live on Saturday at a dinner and dance event put on by the hall.
Our Road Foreman, Eric Irving (on the right), said he was happy that the event brought in so many great donations and was extremely proud that his company’s contribution brought in the largest single live auction bid at $425.00.
“It was quite an exciting bidding war with four people battling over the crush. Others in attendance only added to the excitement as they encouraged the increasing bids, trying to raise more funds for the hall.”
Ben Morhart (on the left), was the victorious bidder and will be arranging delivery of his prize sometime this week.
All proceeds raised at this event will help the Horsefly Community Hall with their new kitchen renovation.
