Last week, our team at Dawson Group changed forever when we learned about the sudden passing of one of our employees, Luc Thibault. Luc was our Manager of Survey and he passed away in a tragic car accident.

Luc’s work at Dawson was crucial to many of our projects and he worked closely with several of our companies. He spent five years with Dawson and his willingness to always help others has impacted many of our teams. We are devastated by this tragic loss and our teams are grieving together. We alongside his parents, Donna and Marc, his fiancé Brittany, his sister Danielle and her family, and his dog Rosie, are grieving the loss of Luc.

Luc was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization, Kamloops Snowmobile Association. Luc was also so proud of mancave he built, his detached shop. He spent several years building the shop and spent countless hours in there fixing things, which included restoring several snowmobiles and rebuilding travel trailers. His shop was also a place to connect with friends as they worked alongside with Luc on what needed to be fixed.

Understandably, this is a very challenging time for us, as this tragedy has immensely impacted all our lives. Nothing can prepare you for events like this, but we want to thank everyone for their support. If Luc could see how many people cared about him and how many people were supporting one another during this devastating time, we know he would be proud.

There will never be another Luc and we will miss having him in our lives. We will continue to keep him with us in our thoughts and prayers and keep his memories going. Thank you to everyone for all of your support, kindness, and compassion.
